Joanna Piech is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, the Graphics Department in Katowice. Master thesis in 1978. Creates graphics, linocut, painting, illustrations. Since 2000 she has been a pedagogue (a doctoral degree) at the Institute of Art in Cieszyn, Department of the Silesian University in Katowice. In 1998 awarded with a grant of the Ministry of Culture and Art. Author and painter of monumental polychrome in the Crypt of Jesus Christ, Katowice Cathedral, and in the Order of the Resurrection in Krakow, paintings in the churches of Blessed Karolina Kózka in Tychy and Mother of Church in Katowice.
